DeepInto® VIDEO - Dubbing

DeepInto® Video offers the best technologies and translation services to voice and dub your videos

4 steps for speakerage of your texts: audio guides, presentations, tutorials, audiobooks, webinars, e-Learning courses, etc.

1

File upload

By depositing a document to be spoken on the platform, the user chooses from a list of parameters such as the type of voice, the tone of speech, the reading pace (slower or faster), the age range and gender of the speaker.

2

Speakers selection

The DeepInto® Video platform offers a casting of native speakers, from which the user chooses the most suitable interpreter to give voice to his/her audiovisual content.

3

Validation

DeepInto® Video carries out a test on a significant sample of the project that must be validated by the user, before proceeding with the entire recording of the audio file. For the Speakerage of long texts (as in the case of audio books), the speaker is assisted by a vocal coach who verifies and validates the texts of the audiobook.

4

Delivery

Delivery takes place on the platform with audio files in .wav, .MP3, MP4, etc.

4 steps to perform voice-over or synch-like dubbing from the DeepInto® Video platform

1

Time scan and transcription

Once the user has created a dubbing project on the platform, a technician produces the script, the starting point for translation and adaptation. This work includes detecting all in/out time codes of the character names of each actor’s lines, off-screen lines, transcription, including dialogue changes made by actors, annotations for translators, and a general report. The user can now consult and validate the script formatted according to DeepInto® Video standards (compatible with the requirements of the main national and international platforms and production houses).

2

Translation and adaption

In this phase the translator/adapter works on the previously adapted and pre-set script using CAT tools and AI technologies, which integrate the contents of the showguides, the glossaries, the information on the previous productions and the instructions of the movie director.

3

Editing and checking

Our editors perform the meticulous checking of each line of the text to ensure the fluidity of the translation and the correct position of the pauses. At this stage, the DeepInto® Video platform user can validate scripts prior to registration.

4

Registration and mixing

The DeepInto® Video project manager is in contact with the speakers during the recording of the voices to communicate the specificities identified in the previous phases and to note the changes made in the latter instance. Subsequently, the DeepInto® Video sound engineer prepares the audio files and integrates them into the final edit. At this point, the user can download his/her dubbed video.

From conception to implementation, our teams work according to the norms and standards of the profession but also following the specificities of DeepInto® Video

Standard and custom layout

For the adapted script layout, we indicate as standard the SMPTE TCs, acronyms, pauses, lines and in addition to the notes, we use color codes to indicate lines taken from other episodes, flashbacks, summaries, etc. The user of the platform can also benefit from a high degree of adaptability to apply a specific layout according to their own needs and those of the software used by the recording studio.

Standard and specific indications

In addition to the classic terms and abbreviations (INT, EXT, OC, OS , etc.), DeepInto® Video operators use specific standards, such as the different nature of breaks (short pause , half-second pause, one-second pause, two-second pause , etc.) or as (EV) for a replica that is inaudible, so that the director benefits from as much information as possible.

Glossary/KNP/Showguide

Documentation that ensures maximum consistency between the succession of scripts, between the names and ages of the characters, between subtitles and voiceovers, between seasons and episodes of the same TV series or films with multiple reruns.

List of characters/pronunciations

Delivered in Excel format in order of appearance or in alphabetical order, according to the director’s preferences – it indicates, among other things, the gender and age range of the characters. One page is reserved for pronunciations. The file is preformatted to allow alignment with the script. The user can consult it on the platform.

References to secondary characters, songs and foreign languages

To facilitate the management of the actors in the different seasons, in the scripts we indicate the first appearance of the secondary characters. The user of the platform is completely free to indicate his/her preferences. In the absence of specific instructions, our translators leave the bar or song in the foreign language next to its translation, so that both alternatives are available in the recording room. Hesitations, stammering, inaudible jokes are also taken into account.
